Lanzarote’s La Graciosa and islets Marine Reserve is the largest in Europe, with a surface of 707 km2. It was declared a reserve in 1995 because of its fishing interest. Here, we find species that are very rare in the rest of the Archipelago such as the ballan wrasse, brown meager and the European conger, but it is most notable for the great variety of seaweeds present.
